Out of memory error, but I had 1.9GB of free RAM!

This happened second time to me.
I sent a bug report with a link to this thread, please let me know if you got it @Sven.

    It happened two more times today (with more than 1.5GB of free RAM), my GSA is almost unusable because of this :/

    Try to delete unused accounts and cache, this will reduce the memory used

    The amount of free ram you have makes no odds to SER.  It's a 32 bit app and can only use up to 3Gb of Ram.  Typcially after about 2.4Gb you will start to see this message, but as @young_gooner says deleting unused accts will help
