Site Lists and Project Engines

Never thought of it before but if I have a project with only contextual platforms checked and use only site lists, will SER:

1) Import only links from checked platforms
2) Import links from all platforms and then sort through them and check if engines match

I would think that the 2nd option would waste resources but need to confirm :)

Yes 2) wasts a lot resources if you have them sorted in before.

Oh of course it takes only URLs from the engines checked in the project.

  • Thanks @sven So is it possible to make SER import sitelist links from only engines that are checked in a project?

What exactly are you doing here? If you import site lists into the project using the right mouse click, it already preselects the engines you have enabled in the project.
  • What I meant is if I use only a global site list (Verified) and select, let's say, only XpressEngine engine in a project, will SER

    1) pull only links from sitelist_Article-XpressEngine?
    2) Or it will pull links from all engines and check if links match XE?

If 2) would it be possible to make it 1) ? :)

  • Got it! Thanks @Sven!
