Death By Captcha

BrandonBrandon Reputation Management Pro
For some reason I'm seeing very outrageous DBC usage. I have a couple of campaigns running a specific engine. So far I've built about 800 links with this engine and DBC says I have used 12,600 captchas today. I haven't ever had this problem before, it seems that either every captcha is being sent multiple times or DBC is doing something weird.

    I haven't changed anything on the captcha processing that could cause anything like that. Please check on DBC, don't they have a history of sent captchas ?

    Hey @Sven, what is the best way to test this?

    Every captcha that goes to DBC should result in a submitted link correct? So if I see 300 submitted/verified links (before any verfication/email verification) I should see about 300 captchas in DBC?

    No not at all...a captcha can be used for registration but later posting might not be possible at all (wordpress/drupal).

    Hey @Sven, that is likely my problem, thanks for the info.

    @Brandon did you find out the reason? I noticed same as you since yesterday

    @donchino

    Yes, this is the process.

    SER registers for a site, uses DBC to defeat the captcha.
    SER tries to post, posting is disabled.
    Nothing goes to "Submitted" because posting was disabled

    Captcha was used to register but since posting is disabled the captcha was wasted.

    The solution is to constantly test your lists to make sure you have lists that are based on verified URLs, not just harvested.
