Win 2012 Server R2 Standard vs Windows 7 Ultimate

I'm running two servers with specifications that match eachother pretty well, the only big difference is the Windows 7 Ultimate edition is running on a SSD drive.

There is a big speed difference though.
Win7 LPM: ~95
Win2012 LPM: ~60

Running on same sitelist, same platforms (only platforms GSA CB solves well), same sites (duplicate projects), same proxies (both pings about equal to them). I've tried it over and over, the Win 7 server is about 2x in speed.

Have you guys noticed the same? Or have any ideas what is "wrong"?.

Same hardware in the same datacentre? Baremetal or VPS? SSD will make some difference.
  • Server not VPS, not same hardware, but close enough. Should not mean anything, if any, it's a little advantage for the 2012 version.

I've tried both on different VPS and servers and never really noticed any difference.
  • Are these servers in the same datacenter? As i said SSD is definitely an advantage.
  • Different datacenters. But the 2012 server pings a little better to the proxies (very little difference).

For same hardware win 7 is really more speed it's not only SSD effect.
