GSA Ser is not posting any image and video on web 2.0 and articles

edited February 2014 in Bugs
I'm spending (and wasting) a lot of days with bad results creating webs 2.0 with GSA Ser + Serengines + Kontent Machine.
Maybe the worst part is Serengines (I'm going now to cancel my monthly subscription), but also Kontent Machine is not so good.
One (among various) of the problems is for the images and videos on the webs 2.0 created.

When I set KM to scrape images/videos together with the content text, I got poor results (even if I chosen random positions for both, all the videos and images were always up the first sentence, never in the body content). I wrote to the support, they told me to use the GSA Ser scraping function. Ok.

I disabled the image/video settings on KM, and I enabled the same option in GSA Ser, but in this way all the web 2.0 were without any image or video.

Checking the results, I see that the url of the images/videos is missing. This is the html code I have found in the body content:

<img style="max-width:450px;float:left;padding:10px 10px 10px 0;border:0;" alt="" src="0" />

<img src="0" style="max-width:420px;float:left;padding:10px 10px 10px 0px;border:0px;"/>

<iframe src="0" style="float:left;padding:10px 10px 10px 0px;border:0px;" frameborder="0" height="360" width="640"></iframe>

In all this 3 examples, after src there is one "0" and not the url of the image. The same error I found in many articles posted by GSA Ser in my tiers T2.

Now, trying again to use KM also for images and videos, it seems it's working, so I will use KM for images for T1, anyway the problem remain for other Tiers...

    This might be due to a changed provider in content_search.dat. Please have a look in the rnd_content file and maybe delete that.
  • @Sven Sorry, I have found the content_search.dat file but I don't find the rnd_content file.
    Where is it, and what do I have to do exactly?
  • SvenSven
    that rnd_content is in project folder.

    @Sven Under the program folder of GSA (and in all the pc) ther is no one folder called "project".
    Also, there is no any file in all the VPS called "rnd_content"...
  • SvenSven
    it's projectname.rnd_content.

    I insist that there is not in all the folders of all my computer and the whole vps any folder called with that name or with the word "rnd_content". If you please can say me a little more exactly the path where that file should be, I will thank you
  • @Sven Ok, I found the projects folder, and also the rnd_content  files. Anyway, no any idea what I have to change, and probably the problem is not for only 1 project but for many
  • SvenSven
    send a project backup please
  • I had the same problem, would like to know the cure if there is one..

  • @william88 I sent a project backup to Sven, I'm waiting his reply. Maybe for you too is better to send him a project backup
