Building spam links to subdomain?

I have a site that have 10 subdomains. I am planing to test different campaign settings for each subdomain. My question is if i start building spam links to one of the subdomains and it get penalized by google will this affect the other subdomains for which i am running quality campaigns?

    Well, that's not good. I guess i have to test and see.

    Google has before claimed that they look at subdomains as a new domain. However I don't know what happens when a sub or root domain is penalized or whether google can be trusted.

    no, this should not penalise your main domain...

    look at well known web 2 sites, wordpress.. tumblr... these main domains are all untouched, but you can easily penalise a subdomain you own in a matter of months..

    but yes, you are on the right track, create subdomains, spam spam spam and then redirect this subdomains to your main domain and you will rank! until the negative effect of these links pass over, when this does.. delete the subdomains and start again, keep your actual domain intact of any penalties. you need a lot of links though!
