Question about "success" project files

@sven (or anyone else who may know), what is the purpose of these files?

Are they just to prevent projects posting to the same url again?

I noticed they are getting very big, so i deleted all contents of these files and no more "out of memory" issues, Wohooo!

But what are the implications of emptying those files?

I have kept backups in case i shouldn't of deleted. Please advise.

*.success is holding all your created and verified backlinks You should not delete those.

Thanks @sven - I just deleted url's inside, leaving actual files there.

So worst that can happen is that i will get duplicate links?
