Newbie Full Setup Example?

I am testing out the GSA demo which I downloaded yesterday.
Have been searching this forum for a full example how to set GSA up correctly, but didn't really found a recent in depth guide. I know that you can approach creating the backlinks with GSA in different ways. But there are probably some thing you should or should't do.
Can someone recommend me a good setup with all the screenshots what to tick and untick etc. to test out?
I also bought WAC(not with the Tier1 update) and do not want to handwrite my Tier1 links, so fully automatic will be my goal.
