#LINKURL# and #anchortext# -- wth?

I thought I understood this but apparently not.  I setup a project where I entered (pasted) a bunch of URLs into the URL field, these were my tier 1 sites.  I got a bunch of different keyword phrases and entered them into the anchor text field.  In the article, I referred to #anchortext# and for a hyperlink I used:

<a href="#LINKURL#">#anchortext#</a>

and in clicking the TEST button, it showed the literals #LINKURL# and #anchortext#??

Where are those macros used, I mean are they used in some other programs?
  • thanks indylinks, it appears that worked.

sven, i don't understand your question unless it was just not understanding the syntax of my question. Yes I  was probably confusing the syntax of #LINKURL# and the correct %linkurl% with another program.

Yes but what program? If it's a major one I might add the macros as well to make it compatible.
