Best approach to rank Web 2.0's?

Been building Web 2.0's in RankWyz and FCS, wondered if anyone has any experiences to share on building backlinks to Web 2.0's?

Are they same as YouTube and can withstand spam blasts straight at them or do you need to more careful?

I can't tell you what is best.  I can tell you that I had a tumblr blog that got whacked using spam blasts.  I also had a client that got some tumblr blogs whacked. I would pick a number and stay with that number for a while.  If I was picking a number it would be around 100.  Track your work and see what happens.  My 2 cents.

PDFs can take a hammering, I've found. 

@krushinem, after Yahoo bought Tumblr, I don't think that Google sees Tumblr sites in a good light any more. There was too much of a coincedence between Tumblr sites getting bombed and the sale going through. Just my $0.2c.
