What happens when download fails?

Hi,

I see that in the logs sometimes it shows that download failed meaning that particular URL could not be opened. 

The reason I am asking is I am trying to build my list and sometimes it will be URL of probably profiles which might be banned. My question is will GSA try to register an account there or just ignore it? If it ignores wouldn't it be advisable to like trim it to the main domain with SB and then post?

    download failed means the content downloaded from that URL is empty. In that case nothing is tried and URL is skipped.

    Thanks for the answer Sven, Is the URL skipped or the entire domain name skipped?

    I am asking because I was wondering if it would be a good idea to trim the URLs to root and then feed into GSA so that it can find it;s own URLs for submissions?

    Just the URL is skipped.
