I don't really understand how the URL scraping works and is it mandatory?

Hello,

I know it's an extreme noob question, but I'm a newbie, so I'd better ask.

Let's say I want to run a forum posting campaign. Do I have to collect URLS first (either from site lists or using the engines)?

And if I use the scraped ones, will GSA scrape even more?

I dont get my straight answer from the videos, as many of them are from older versions.

    GSA = company name. Anyway it is searching for new targets on it's own. Though some people find it easier to import self collected target urls.

    When it's searching for new targets on it's own, does it only search for targets related to the keywords?

    Depends on the engine used. Some use your keywords, some only build in footprints, some use footprints only and sometimes your keyword in combination.
