Importing project data .. How to do it

Hi I would like to create my own custom app that creates project data ready for importing into GSA. Where can I find information out about the importation process? Not asking how to create the app.I can work that out, I just want to know the process whereby GSA imports the data. Thanks all

    Well just import URLs and see what files get created/modified.

    OK thanks for the little brain teaser.. I have worked this out now.. Or at least have started looking at the various files created when you start a new project..
