When I'm going thru the verification process I get a lot of verifications not successful. Why is that?

    Because the link is not live and awaits acceptance from moderator.

    @sven - If SER can't verify the link, how long before it deletes it from "Submitted"?

    That depends on the engine itself. The maximum is 5 days, some remove the link on first unsuccessful check.
