GSA SEO Indexer killing my router

When I run SI, my router slows to a crawl and has thousands of open connections. I lowered the connection timeouts, and lowered the threads to 12, but I still have 1800 connections when I'm running slow.

Is there something else I can do?

Is it possible to enter a feature to have a persistent connection to all the proxies to avoid this problem?

    what do you mean with a persistent connection ?

    Best solution for you (the odd it sounds) would be a new router because you will get into this situation all the time on high traffic.
