Finding keyword competitors?

when SER says this is it looking for the links of competitors?

it seems thats all it does ( not to belittle this ) Im just saying in the technical sense, because I have never seen it actually say something like 

scraping with footprints and keywords

What terminalogy does it use in the output bottom window whens it scraping with footprints and keywords?

    It is searching with one of your entered keywords. If it finds something, it sees where that keyword compeditor is listed on and tries to place a link there as well.

    No special output. It simply shows your keyword in the search term.
