URL Shortener Links

I'm wondering...a lot of people have this notion of "a link is a link". So far I've been turning off the new URL shortener kind of links because I am a bit concerned by the ratio of them compared to the other links generated by GSA. 

Wouldn't generating a lot of these kinds of links considered to be spam, more so than other kinds of links I mean ?

    That link you create with that engines are nothing worth unless you use them somewhere on other sites. So yes, turn them off if you do not plan to use that.
