Does pulling data from dropbox slow down SER?

I'm pulling articles and getting KW's for scrapes  from Dropbox, also saving verified to a folder in dropbox.

Are there any significant speed penalties doing this vs saving them to the machine itself?

I do all keywords from Dropbox because it is way faster than your hard drive. Never tried articles as I do spins in SER.

  • we can import keywords from a folder?

I run my setup like you Mark. I have all of my spintext articles in dropbox and SER pulls them directly from dropbox.

It won't be any slower because dropbox copies the files to your local hard drive and they're synched from there.
  • Cool, good info guys...

I am also writing to Dropbox but it does not seem to be slowing things down.

I can't explain why, but I tested using my keyword files on my hard drive vs. keeping them in Dropbox. In theory it shouldn't have made a difference, but my LPM dropped when they were on my hard drive. Go figure. Maybe a fluke thing.
