Whats working these days?

Hey Folks,

I purchased GSA SER about two weeks ago and I've set upa  few projects to test some ideas. Basically have a few different webs pages (project 1: single page. Project 2: multiple pages) and am hitting them pretty hard to see whether the old churn and burn strategy straight to the MS is still working on parasites.

Unfortunately, i'm not seeing any in the way of ranking changes even after two weeks and on some fairly easy niches. I would have expected to have at least popped out in the 70-100 rank area but seeing absolutely nothing across multiple keywords.Most projects are up to 10,000 submitted and 3-5k verified etc.

So...whats working for you guys these days especially for churn and burn strategies ?

You've picked a bad time to start. Churn and burn was killed yesterday with the new update.

It was to be expected. When thousands of noobs got a pretty powerful software (GSA) - the amount of spam was simply too high and Google had to end this party. Previously, only the advanced black hatters with Xrumer could access it. Nowadays, every scrub is running GSA. But it got nerfed - it always ends like that when it's abused too hard.

So, thank you for wasting the platforms and killing the churn and burn method.

So your saying churn and burn is done...is Penguin 2.0 a constantly running filter now? Beacuse I was under the impression that it only refreshed when they ran it. Plus i'm seeing services like spamwow and RankHack still running and being offered etc.

So if hard spam istn working...whats everyone doing...tiered strategies...doesnt that take ages to rank and just as prone to getting hit?

All updates are constantly running.  The engines make smaller modifications as time goes on, but when it update gets released it's not a one time thing.  I don't know if churn and burn is "dead," but there are a lot less brand new sites appearing in the top 10 for the notorious SPAM niches like payday loans and online casinos.  Seeing more authoritative sites and news articles from major outlets.  Looks like a lot of people are moving towards using pages on super powerful domains like Facebok, Pinterest, etc.  They can handle virtually any amount of Spam you throw at them. And they're free to set up : )

2) churn and burn still works, but the lifecycle gets shorter and shorter.

Alot of false statements in this thread. All my rankings are constantly going up. It's not the tool. It's how you use it Put some thought into it and you will see great results.

@sweeppicker What do you do different pre-Panda, Penguin 1.0 and 2.0? Mind sharing a bit?

Nothing special really ... High-quality contextual Tier 1 targets that haven't been spammed to death. Thousands of indexed Tier 2s and 2s pointing my primary backlinks, careful monitoring of backlink profile, indexation, ect in BLM, tons of anchor text diveristy, more than one site per niche, etc, etc.

2 weeks is not enough time for all your links to get indexed. Furthermore, they need to be heavily tiered to have any real weight and influence on you rankings unless your going for super easy KWs.

As I've said many times my rankings were halved over night on May 23rd. I've set loads of filters to avoid junk results and my rankings and earnings are almost back to pre-Penguin 2.0 levels. Just do your research into how to find 'quality' sites to spam

@spunko2010 - so you have recovered Penguin slapped sites back to their original position? When you say "quality sites" to spam does that mean you have changed your method? Or, are you still using tier's with a change to the Tier 1 quality only?

Always there will be people telling you 'X is not working anymore' yet I still see guys ranking using tactics people will recommend you to avoid.

Blasting thousands of backlinks has never worked for me, target easy keywords if you are a beginner and build contextual backlinks with everything below them as tier 2.

I also want to try and use the churn and burn strategy. Would Google AdSense have an issue when you send all types of traffic through GSA or XRumer? I'm sure they're some quality guidelines around AdSense.

I wouldn't toss Adsense on any junk site unless your prepared to lose the account.

But you might want to setup an account beforehand for nothing but your aggressive sites.

The very reason I'm afraid to make adsense based sites (which are based on link building, heavy or low, doesn't matter). Because I've read many horror stories based on these.
