Anchor text issue?

I'm running a project that was using anchor text and secondary anchor text. I edited the project and deleted all anchor text/secondary anchor text and changed generic anchor text to 100%. I also deleted the URL cache. Yet, it's still using the previous anchors. Is this a bug or something?

    Keep in mind that for some engines the generic anchor can not be used. So you have to enter a anchor as a backup anyway. IF you see completely other anchors than you defined, they are either set by the site itself like "homepage of <random name>" or they have been build before th change and verified after change.
