Pause project option doesn't work

I have about 8 projects which I have set GSA to pause at 50 links for every 750 minutes. So far, GSA hasn't paused at all and for each project about 1.4K has been submitted and 400 verified. This worked perfectly fine when previously used on another project. What could I be doing wrong? would appreciate any help.
