variable #file_links macro: ,1..10,S]

Hi, love the fact GSA works with XRumer macros.  Any chance we can have the newer format supported:

#file_links[C:\Dropbox\my_domain\latin.txt,5..15,S]

This way we can vary lines/items pulled, lowers footprints.

Cheers

Sure. Any other macros / changes they made (I do not own XR)?
  • That's the only one I can think of right now.  It's simply inserts a range instead of a fixed value.

I have GSA projects in other languages, and I can't use my normal GSA project making software to do it, so I build the projects out manually with XR macros.  I could spin it out but that takes ages so I just pull random words from a huge text file.  But without this random-range macro it means all my text snippets end up the same length (random range currently fails and always pulls one line from a file, no matter what is in x..x,S]).

    Cheers!

just checked the source...you can already use a range...but the SER format is different from XR.

    #file_links[C:\Dropbox\my_domain\latin.txt,(5,15),S]

Though I will add the other format as well.

  • Thanks! I'll use that in the meantime.
