Linking 2 GSA projects/sites. Is it wise?

Hi all. I have 1 site that I have used GSA for, and it's doing okay in the SERPS. I want to launch another site similar but for another country. I will be using GSA for the new site SERPS also.

Is it safe to link them together, i..e have link to each in the footers? I am making sure to use different GWMT and analytics accounts, etc. Also servers are in different countries. Just wondered if it was safe to do it or if one site gets hit will the other? Maybe add a nofollow tag? I am not sure.

I wouldn't worry too much as long as it just a couple of sites.  Matt Cutts did a video recently where he answered that question:

Having them on separate Google accts is a good idea for all your sites :-)

Yeah, I normally ignore most of things he says, although he's worth keeping an eye on as he occasionally lets slip a small nugget of relevant info that has some value
