How Many Anchor Text Keywords Do You Use?

To those who are fairly seasoned GSA SER users, how many anchor text keywords do you use per project (tiered or otherwise) ? I'm not talking about the Keywords field in a project but the Anchor Text field.

I am new to SER and tend to use most easy to moderate to rank for and a few hard to rank ones. I usually have around 30 or or so anchor text keyword phrases.

My sites have multiple pages (10-30). I want to rank for maybe 10

I would try to use the 10 best anchors for each webpage. I would also take the next best 10 anchors and stick them in the secondary anchor field.

It will be very difficult to get screwed by Google if you:

a) Have that many main anchors

b) Also use secondary anchors

c) Also use generic anchors

d) Also use naked URL as anchor

It is up to you to determine the % for each category above.

Thanks Ron. Is that what you do for your Tiered Projects shown in your Tier diagram?

I have all of them checked with the default percentages (20, 33, 20) except for Use secondary anchor text with {blah|blah|blah} of 13% default.

You should test. I have changed the numbers so many times I can't even remember where I am at. There's no correct answer.
