Can't edit the ini files

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong but, each time I try to edit the ini file to add more foot prints, that engine never works anymore. I always have to revert back to my original saved file again.

What program is everyone using to edit the ini files?

Do you have to save it in a certain way?

    Forgot to mention that i'm using notepad++ for editing, so not sure why when I add more footprints then save, that platform does not create links anymore.

    My Bookmarking engines are getting terrible results so was hoping to improve on them a little.

    Is there a way to add to the footprints from inside ser? I know how to view them with ser.

    You probably save in a wrong encoding?

    No idea. What should the encoding be when I save?

    I never changed any of that, just the default what ever Notepad++ saves as.

    Always use ISO/ANSI no UTF8 or alike

    Okay, thanks. I will try again today making changes to the Bookmark ini files. I don't know why, but for the life of me I can't get a single bookmark built. Don't know why.
