Auto generated Amazon items wordpress shop site good enough?

I'm sure you guys know that websites that are auto popularted with Amazon items based on the niches/keywords you set. I wonder if those kind of sites are good enough as money sites, I mean do they rank normally or even good although there is not a lot of unique text? Or do you need to spin words here too, in order to get normal results?

    Why not set up two sites and try both methods?

    I had a site I tried amazon auto blogging with and it had some success with some long tail searches generating about £5-£20 a month for about a year, but then Google de-indexed it in one of their updates :D
