Be Careful With The New "Options" Gear Wheel That Shows On The Announcements

I noticed the "Options" icon (gear wheel) that pops up when you mouse over one of the "Announcement" threads. I clicked on one of them and a small & hard to read menu (that said "Dismiss") popped up. I clicked on it thinking that it would dismiss the options box, but it deleted that "Announcement" from my list.

@Sven - This was the thread for the Help PDF. I can no longer see it on the forum. Is there any way to reverse what I did so I can get this back?

    This is a booger of a problem! Once you do this, the thread does not show in any thread list that I bring up - or any searches that I do (from inside the forum). I was able to do a Google search and find the thread. And I have at least bookmarked it, so I can get back to it.

    But it seems like, when a user clicks this "Dismiss" on a thread, that it is almost like telling the forum to act as if that thread does not exist for this user.

    So...BEWARE...and learn from my mistake...do not click on this!
