The GSA does not close

The GSA won't update or close. I can only force it to close it through Task Manager. Have you encountered this?

    Use CTR ALT DEL and select Task Manager - it will close it right away.

    Due to the fact that the program cannot close correctly, the update does not occur.

    Yes, sometimes it takes forever to download \ shut down, and install, but it does happen in the end. If you are impatient, then all you have to do is close GSA SER, download the installation file, and install it; your excisting instalation will be updated.

    Yes, sometimes it takes forever to download \ shut down, and install, but it does happen in the end. If you are impatient, then all you have to do is close GSA SER, download the installation file, and install it; your excisting instalation will be updated.
    Thank you for your advice, it helped me identify the problems.

    My server is located in Russia, and as you may have heard, they have disconnected themselves from the international internet and now live in a large local network, haha =)

    I don't think the geo location of your vps has anything to do with your issue. I have VPSs running GSA SERlocated in the USA, Finland, Germany and Singapore, and they all have the same issue when it comes to shutting down GSA. 

    problems stopping GSA ser has been reported for over 10 years. I think it has to do with the fact that when you click stop or close, then GSA has over 200 -500 threads (or however many u are running )  that need to be terminated cleanly, and this can take a little time

    I don't think the geo location of your vps has anything to do with your issue. I have VPSs running GSA SERlocated in the USA, Finland, Germany and Singapore, and they all have the same issue when it comes to shutting down GSA.

    Try using a VPN.
