Remove after 1st verification try issue

Why doesn't the "Remove after 1st verification try" work properly?

I set the Status to Active (No Submit - Validate Only).

After a while, import messages show up that all say: "All links have been verified once now".

However, many of the submitted links remain.

Is there a better way to do this?

    "All links have been verified once now" << it simply means that SER has checked all of the URLs now, but of course not all have been verified successfully
