Threads of GSA after some hours running decreased from 200 to only between 15 and 80

Hello @Sven,

I am currently setting up 200 threads for GSA SER. However, when I initially start the project, the threads run at full capacity very well. But for some reason, after running for about half a day, I notice that the number of threads decreases, and most of the time, only 15-80 threads are running. Currently, both my memory and CPU usage are low.

Additionally, I am importing the target URLs directly to run instead of using the custom sitelist feature.

My VPS has 12 GB RAM and 6 core CPU.

Please let me know how to fix this issue. Thank you!

    I am also facing same issue i have enabled 250 Threads and i have 8 Core CPU with 64GB Ram but GSA is not running at full potential.

    I'm facing the same issue. The number of threads is initially set as intended, but after a few hours, it drops drastically. I also noticed that it sometimes gets stuck, requiring me to restart SER. This is a direct import into the project, not using site lists.

    each project, 1 thread. And it's just checking for emails, however there are lots of urls to process.

    I am using your List as Site List in GSA if i select Indexer Engine threads goes to 100% Max Potential but for other Engines which normally people use for T1 Contextual threads goest to lower and submittion is very slow As you can see these projects are running from last 5 to 7 Days.

    Could you please provide your filter settings and let me know the type of email and CAPTCHA service you're using? Perhaps we can continue this discussion further on Skype?

    It's quite strange, Sven. I ran CatchE once, reloaded my projects with fresh emails, and things started working :) 

    I also tried version 17.97 since @cherub kindly shared it on the forum. I noticed that thread management seems better in that version compared to the latest version running on my other servers. For instance, I set all instances to 1000 threads. Version 17.97 operates with 600–900 threads, whereas the latest versions only manage 300–500 threads. The number of projects, Python codes, algorithms, and files are all the same.

    @Sven , I was reviewing the emails causing the issue and noticed that they are not being deleted, even though I have set them to be removed when older than one day. Here are the screenshots. Could there be a problem with the POP3 email deletion? I tried with both latest version and v 17.97.

    delete sometimes fails if two logins manage the same account. But the delete will be tried later on again. Please turn the project to verify emails only in status and see log.
