GSA SER Adding Main Site URLs/Links in Second Tier

Hello,

I have created a project creating links to my main site. I then created a tier project and
1. Checked "Use Verified URLs of >> Main Project <<"
2. Unchecked "Use a random URL from above on every submission (else in sequence)"

But when I previewed the articles:
1. When select "No change (No link add/Remove), I see no links at all when previewing articles. This means no link has been imported from GSA Content Generator
2. When Select "Sentence at a Random Location", I see that links with URLs from my Main Project, which are pointing to my main site being used in the articles. I think these links are added by GSA SER not GSA Content Generator. To confirm this, I previewed the same articles in GSA Content Generator and found no links at all being added to them. All tiered project must have Use Verified URLs of the above project only.

Please let me know where to check and correct this. I only want links from the main project link to my main site. I have been unknowingly adding a lot more links than I plan to to my main site now.

The bad news is that I have also just noticed that this is happening to all my other project tiers, which means I have been unknowingly adding more back links to all my sites than I wanted. This is really bad. Please help.

Thank you.

    Hello,
what you have written is all correct. If you haven't used the option in GSA Content Generator to add links, then nothing is int her articles you export to SER. And the two points will execute exactly as suggested.
I don't understand what problem you have with this setup really.

    Thanks Sven for your reply.

Let me try to explain better:

    1. I create a project, building 10 links that point to pages on my Main website.

    2. I then create a tier project. I thought the links created in this project will be pointing to the backlinks created in the main project above, NOT straight to my main site. But what I noticed is that somehow all the lower tier projects are creating backlinks pointing straight to my main website too.

I originally wanted to create only high quality backlinks pointing to my main website and many more backlinks in my lower tier projects pointing only to the backlinks created in the project above them. Because of this, I will end up getting a lot more links all pointing to my main site from all tiers and I won't be able to control how many in total I will be getting from the lower tier projects.

So what should I do so that the links created in lower tier projects only point to links created in project above them and NOT to target URLs set in the top project which are pointing to my main site.

God im so bad in explaining I hope this make my question clear. Thanks for your help.

Have you got them set up correctly as Tiered projects?

Yes, and also unchecking the first option "use an url from above on every submission..." but still seeing urls meant for only top project created in lower tier projects .. I end up with a lot of backlinks pointing to my main site in lower tier projects which I did not expect.

Do you see this happening to your projects or just me?
