Could GSA move spam folder to inbox when checking outlook/hotmail?

When adding hotmail/outlook emails to a project I'm getting that pop up telling me to go into the account and manually add the @ sign filter so verification emails don't go to spam...

Is there a technical hangup that prevents gsa from just selecting all emails in the spam folder and moving them to the inbox as the first step when it logs into the acct to check for verification emails?

If this isn't viable for whatever reason does anyone know of a tool that will do this in bulk?

Thanks

no, not when using pop3, but when you use imap, it can parse everything.

ok cool thanks. i just went in and selected one of my hotmails and changed it from pop3 which was working fine, to imap, and retested it and it gave an error.

so is the imap only good for catchalls and maybe gmails and not hotmail?

The imap protocol needs a different port and also a different server in most cases. You need to change that if you get an error.

Why would the Spam folder (likely mailings you don't want from untrusted providers/sources) get moved to the Inbox folder (likely more allowed and wanted mailings)? Folders get created to solve/sort these problems. Also, within last week Outlook has changed (NEW). This may affect some things? But like Sven said a year ago there are different protocol and servers for incoming/outgoing imap or pop3. If using your own email your hosting provider will send you these details to the email you set up when you set up in c-panel.
for general personal/business main email absolutely, but were talking about link building verifications here...plenty of good verification emails end up in spam folders i dont want to miss.

i actually havent tried updating anything on this since posting last year, dunno if ill even bother with outlooks etc ever again...vs just using shwp catchalls instead
