Article Mgr - Add Own URLs character limit

Hi @Sven

Is there a reason for the 64380 character limit, in being able to add my own random/authority URLs?
It also truncates a valid URL thus making it invalid so this seems to be a bug

hmm how do you add that anyway? There is a special format you need to follow here.

oh my goodness, I didn't see any indication or errors that this was required.

To start, I previously just added a bunch of URLs one per line, thinking this was OK.

Is this acceptable because a cursory check on submitted articles seemed to show some were added with generic anchor text.

But then I read the forum post at https://forum.gsa-online.de/discussion/26742/suggestion-for-custom-url-import/p1#Comment_161792 and this just confused the heck out of me.

I am not a coder and don't understand the use of the [] brackets in this special format

[1] https://imported-target-url.com/wp-admin/ - This would have to be the URL I want inserted, yes?

[2] https://www.overwrite-project-url.com/ - I've got no idea how this is used. Where is this URL coming from? Is it optional?

[3] #Overwrite-Project-Anchor - Is this optional?

The more I've tried to understand this 'Own URLs' section, the more confusing it is, to me anyway. I haven't found any other discussions on it either hence these questions (sorry for not understanding).

What you are referring to in your last reply is some other special case of a different topic.

You need to setup your generic URLs like this: https://docu.gsa-online.de/search_engine_ranker/advanced_setup#generic_urls

ahh OK, sorry for the confusion on my part.
I'll now have a look at generic URLs as suggested and work out how to use it across multiple niches since it's a global list
