Regex option in filter/modify option?

Is it possible to have a Regex option in the filter/modify option?
This way we can customize with freedom to do any replacing/removing easily... Sometimes scrapped articles have many redundant info or characters that needs to be removed. E.g: "acknowledgement" section, "references", citation parts like [1]. [2], [3], or ¹ ² ³. With regex, we can replace or remove them easily.
