Is this still in the software because it submits to a clone of the original site or what? The main site itself has been dead and gone for years?

Indeed this engine has no use now. It was previously still included as they allowed you t login with a previously created account. SER did not register but only use present accounts. But I see it's not even allowing that anymore.
