honeypot feature can be enabled on the Form Settings page of each form. When enabled the form will include a field which is hidden from visitors but is visible to bots.
If that specific field (honeypot field) is filled by the tool then it is determined as spam because no human can fill that field from the contact form page.
so this is about "gravityforms" then...again, honeypot is a general term and I know what this is, but for each niche it has a different meaning.
Anyway, I can't tell if this is the case. The program does not check for css attributes with "hidden" or not. It might be detected by other options and can be added to the submission data, though I don't know and would need something to test.
