does bad word filter check url as well

Unfortunately I uncheck the bad word filter and I noticed one of my links had the domain name adultdating... something or other. 

Going forward I will basically turn on the bad word filter, but I am curious, does bad word filter check url or do i need to manually filter urls i don't want?
