What are the applications for Scheduled Posting?

I have to admit I have never used this feature so far. But now other users have me thinking more about it.

What is it for, exactly? I mean is it most useful for comments? Something else?

Is it because comments roll down off the front page?

If I have this disabled, will SER still re-post to the same domain, different URL?

Does SER keep track of what's been posted and not post the same content again?

Do "post first article w/o links" & "link only on x % of all posted articles" work ONLY with articles or any type of post?

This is only for sites that require an account and where you can post articles. You often want to have fresh content on some sites and with this scheduled posting, you post e.g. a new article to one of your sites each day.
