Case Study done : Page got hit on March 7th after using GSA only

I did a test on my site wherein I have 10 pages of content. All well written by content writers and I ran GSA on just 1 article and it started ranking no 2 after some days. Its low competition after all. Now on March 7th which is supposedly a penguin update day, that page ranking went down 7th on the same day and later 14th...today its back to 7th

I just did contextual dofollow links(35 per day) and 2 more tiers running on those links created. 

So I think GSA is good enough rank your site pages up but not that great for long term use.

    congrats!  ..but could you explain "long term use" a bit more clear. Do you stop after you "ranked in" on a place ?

    I've not seen anything confirmed about 7th March being a Penguin update.  I'm guessing that movement is google dance

    @kayKay - I mean avoid using it directly on money site if you are looking for long term benefits..Its good for throwaway sites..Google can easily devalue links from certain platforms which GSA uses after an update 

    @davbel - It is penguin as most of them got hit. Even if matt didn;t accounce it this time still I feel its a major update

    @pclweb. - thats not true. SAPE must be added within this update along with others i think and I never used Sape links on my site..Just the GSA links
