How do I auto remove 404 verifieds?

I know how to remove dead Submitted URLs but how do I automatically remove Verified ones? Using the 'Verify' option on the Show URLS > Verified > Verify checks them but doesn't remove the dead ones? They go red if they don't exist now but dont seem to get removed :S Or do they? The number doesn't go down in the Verified column for me.

    after doing this you still need to delete them manually. Use the Select->Unverified + Delete Selected and you are done.

    How long would you leave it before removing unverified submissions?

    That depends on the engine. There is no fixed value, each engine has it's own setting.
