KW Anchors At T1, T2, or T3?

Hope everyone is off to an amazing 2020... :)

I had a question:

If a link chain looks like this:

T3 Anchor: Internet
T2 Anchor: Internet
T1 Anchor: money$ite. com

Then is it all for nothing? Will the KW "Internet" at higher number (lower tree) tiers help the MS rank for that KW?

I've read all different ideas regarding this, over time. Some people suggest NEVER using KWs at T1. Why not??

Would this link chain have more effect for KW "Internet" if T1 also had the same KW anchor as T2 and T3?
