Why would you ever set to 0? In what cases do you want to hide the engine from user selection? Thx...

1 = Engine is usable from GUI (default)
0 = Engine is not usable from GUI

    Thats only for engines that I update and make sure they are no longer used.

    You could as well delete them, but I prefer to simply disable them this way to keep track of what was once there and might come back if someone has a look at the engine and maybe modify it to there needs to work again or work somewhere else.
