Is there an way to make Google Translate NOT show meta-data for image?

Greetz! I've been wanting to ask this for a while, but I've been away from focusing on SEO as much as I would like.
I want to have translate buttons using Google Translate on a site, but my issue is, if images contain meta-data, the translation only shows the meta-data in the translated language version of the site, and NOT the image!
This seems good for un-sighted people but for a web site translation into a different language, it makes little sense. I mean, a picture is worth a thousand words, right? lol So removing a pic, that is mostly other visual cues than language, seems odd.
Is there a way to have Google Translate either:
-just show image
-show image +embedded (translated metadata) below image?
Thanks!
