What does verify backlinks and 'also re-verify backlinks' do in case of 404

edited March 2013 in Need Help
I wanted to know how verifying works with 404? if a page is not accessible will it be skipped or will it become 'not verified' and deleted?

I am setting a custom verify of 3 hours and also ticked 'also re-verify existing' backlinks. If a page is not accessible will it become unverified and deleted from my verify list?

What happens if i click 'don't remove URLs'? Obviously this won't remove them but will unverifiable links be marked somehow so I can manual check them and remove them? If so how are unverifiable links marked?

It will get deleted. "No remove" is for the URLs waiting to get verified. When checked they don't get removed from the db even though they are checked for too long and the program wouldn't see a chance that they get verified.
  • Just to confirm, if a proxy fails or we simply cannot download due to some connectivity error then it will take no action. Want to make sure that if we cannot download nothing is down.
