Caught a "project doesn't want to stop" situation and sent a bug report

We talked about this a couple of weeks ago, I can't find the thread anymore.
GSA SER has a project that just doesn't stop. I've narrowed it down by closing all tasks around SER.
This project does not use serengines, and anyway, I've even killed that process....

    Additional information: apparently there was proxy testing running in the background. This has now finished, yet no change. I briefly clicked on "start", then "stop" again, still no change. SER is fully operative, i.e. I can edit projects, change their statuses etc. Just this one doesn't move.

    Digging into this: fortunately I had been writing to a log file. 
    Turns out this project had an error many hours earlier -- I had multiple projects running with Scheduler, so as the other projects switched in and out, this one kept hanging.
    Here are the last log entries of that project:

    [16:53:40] CheapFlightAlerts-T3: [!] Error saving project data
    FYI, there's ample disk space.

    That was the first thing I did.  I wrote here after sending the bug report
