question adding footprint

when you add custom footprint on "search online for url" .theres pop op progress windows and this goes for hour...
i mean 2-3 hour and this is just adding one line of dork/footprint ..is this normal?
i just want to add a footprint and save it without having waiting hour or more ..how do i do this?
