*Off-topic* Which is faster: Splitting a SATA in input via card to have 5 on 1 channel OR PCIE card?
Hello fellow GSA enthusiasts.

Wanting to go faster....and NOT trying to slow things down as I upgrade my (non-VPS) system.
If I need more SATA ports for drives than I have ports (by ONE drive, rn)...
Which is faster:
Splitting a SATA in input via card to have 5 on 1 channel
Or
A PCIE card solution???

Seems clear direct connection to MB via card is best choice. And I wonder about bottlenecks on the SATA port w/splitter, which is already supposedly slower...
SO...wanting to order this hardware now....but have a few Qs...
Wouldnt PCIEX16 card be fastest? More physical channels??
Any knowledge would be appreciated much.
I see many PCIE but not much else.
