Monitor PC Resources & Lower Threads

If we have this option enabled, can we select to have a high number of threads and it will auto adjust if too many resources are used?

Is my understanding correct? It just seems that my SER is freezing regularly and it's when I push the thread count up, so I think this feature may have a bug in it.

Not sure what info I can provide for this to replicate. It crashes when I increase thread count.

Monitor resources is checking if the current memory limit is at reached...if it is it will not start another thread.

So this allows us to set a high thread count and if not enough resources, it won't use all threads right?

It seems though that if I increase my thread count, every morning when I check in on VPS, SER is "Not Responding" in Task manager. Like it freezes. Surely this feature should prevent this?

I assume it checks CPU and Memory resources, if so,  is the check for memory resources based on 4GB which is all GSA SER can handle being a 32 bit application --- or is it based on the available memory of the system, in my case 16GB ( 64 bit machine )

What can I do to prevent it freezing due to too many threads? I have this option enabled. Is there any log I can provide?
  • Are you running this on a VPS? I've never had any problems with SER freezing on me, but I run them on separate laptops.

    Yes, on various VPS's.
