Scrape Proxies

So GSA can scrape proxies, what's the difference between scraping public or private proxies, are they actually anonymous proxies or are they traceable?

I currently use Buyproxie.org, but is there a benefit buying them over scraping private ones?

I think there's a way you can filter out non-anonymous ones but that may only be in PI.

I ran this test a few month back with free public proxies scraped in GSA SER and managed to get over 100 LPM.

I was able to get a higher LPM and VPS count with premium proxies but considering the ones in that test were free its still pretty decent in my opinion.

Mate I'm lucky if I can get 9 LPM! I have do idea why I can't get GSA to run that fast, i've got ser verified lists and private proxies. running 30 threads with 30 proxies and the machine isn't exactly slow.

It's a quad core 64 4.2 GHz with 16 gig of ram.

30 threads would be my guess.

How many do you think I should be going with, more/less??

More, no idea what your hardware is able to take but this is how I optimize my VPS' and Servers but you should be able to use it on a desktop/laptop if thats what you are using.
