Is it worth getting new content on MS?

Let's suppose I own the website example.com
I am trying to rank these 3 pages:
example.com/example1
example.com/example2
example.com/example3
In such a case is it advised to constantly add new content (new posts) to my MS each month in order to rank better these 3 pages or should I focus on getting backlinks to these 3 pages solely?
